Review of State Motor Fuel Taxes Including CNG and LNG Rates & Methodologies (xlsx)
NGVAmerica has created the following spreadsheet using information published by the International Fuel Tax Association, the American Petroleum Institute, and NGVAmerica's own research of state laws, rules, and guidance concerning the taxation of CNG and LNG as transportation fuels. A number of states are currently in the process of revamping how they tax CNG and LNG. Tax rates often change yearly but can also change quarterly. Some of the impending CNG and LNG changes will occur in September 2013 and others in January 2014. This spreadsheet is intended to help inform discussions at the state level as members engage state policy makers concerning changes to the taxation of CNG and LNG to create more equitable treatment of CNG and LNG.

NGVAmerica has made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information provided in the spreadsheet. However, your assistance in verifying the accuracy of this information and updating changes for states where you operate is appreciated.
